Join the Hudson River Watershed Alliance for an evening celebrating the connections between water, literature, and community on Wednesday, September 23, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Rough Draft Bar & Books in Kingston.

We’re excited to partner with Rough Draft for a special event featuring regional author Akiko Busch, who will read selections from her new book, From the Millpond to the Sea. The book explores our human connections to water and the complex considerations surrounding dam removal—topics that resonate deeply with the Hudson River Watershed Alliance’s work to strengthen watershed communities and support collaborative watershed governance.

Before and after the reading, take time to connect with fellow water enthusiasts, browse a curated selection of books recommended by HRWA staff and board members, and enjoy a drink at the bar. During the event, 10% of sales will be donated to support the Alliance’s mission of protecting and strengthening watershed communities.

This event is open to all. Come celebrate learning, reading, and the waters that connect us—all while supporting local conservation efforts. Your RSVP will help us plan for the event and get in touch in case there are any updates. RSVP for the event here.

The Hudson River Watershed Alliance unites and empowers communities to protect our shared waters. We are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Kingston and working throughout the Hudson River watershed.
