Intermunicipal Watershed Planning

Hudson River Watershed
Watershed Planning Across Political Boundaries
The Hudson River Watershed Alliance has been working in close partnership with the Hudson River Estuary Program of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation to promote watershed protection and management at the subbasin level. Central to local watershed protection is the coordination of municipal management actions to protect watershed resources. To enhance understanding of different ways that municipal entities can coordinate their efforts, HRWA and the Estuary Program have compiled resources to provide insight into how municipalities can effectively coordinate watershed protection across political boundaries.
